1. Your files stay on your device

All tools on ToolChop run entirely in your browser using JavaScript and the HTML Canvas API. No images, PDFs, or other files you process are ever sent to our servers. We have no ability to view, store, access, or share your files. Processing happens locally on your device and the output is downloaded directly to you.

2. Information we collect

We collect limited, non-personal information to operate and improve the site:

• Usage data — pages visited, tools used, time on site, referring URL
• Technical data — browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, language preference
• IP address — collected transiently by our hosting infrastructure (Google Cloud) for abuse prevention; not stored by us

We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly.

3. Cookies and tracking

ToolChop uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:

• Analytics cookies — we use web analytics to understand traffic patterns (page views, popular tools, referral sources). No personal data is attached to these records.
• Advertising cookies — Google AdSense places cookies to serve relevant ads. These cookies may track your browsing activity across websites. See Section 4 for opt-out options.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some features may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display Google AdSense advertisements to fund free tool development. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting:

5. Data retention

We retain aggregated, anonymized analytics data (page view counts, tool usage statistics) indefinitely for product improvement. This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be linked back to individual users. No file data is retained because no file data is ever transmitted to our servers.

ToolChop uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdSense — advertising (Google LLC, USA)
• Google Cloud Run — hosting infrastructure (Google LLC, USA)

7. Your rights (GDPR — EU/EEA residents)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Right of access — request a copy of data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data
• Right to restriction — request that we limit processing of your data
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format

8. Your rights (CCPA — California residents)

California residents have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• Right to know — what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
• Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected
• Right to opt out — opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
• Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights

To submit a CCPA request, email admin@ricord.ai with "CCPA Request" in the subject line.

9. Children's privacy

ToolChop is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at admin@ricord.ai.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of ToolChop after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
